                                                                               OBJECTIVES

• To address the growing rate of obesity, malnutrition, low self-esteem, and rapidly growing disease in the low-income communities in the Bay Area and actively work towards a solution.
• To teach and empower recipients in Alameda County about creating health conscious communities. This will be done through one-on-one nutrition consulting, cooking classes, community gardening, partnerships with local schools, and workshops.
• To provide quality, organic food sources at very affordable prices. Destiny Organic Center will also provide accessible resources to other free and low-cost health services and facilities in the bay area.
• To identify medical needs and concerns within the community as a whole. Many medical “solutions” are not only expensive, but may result in additional problems for patients. Medical needs can also result in very high costs for the state. It is a goal of the Destiny Organic Center to lower these costs and provide medical alternatives in the Bay Area.
